Emphasis is placed on increasing the participation of female and
underrepresented minority students in learning mathematics and on
developing, nurturing, and sustaining teacher leaders.
To address these goals, the UCLA Mathematics Project offers many
programs, designed in collaboration with teachers to meet their
needs and to follow the recommendations of the California Mathematics
Framework and the NCTM Curriculum and Evaluation Standards. The
programs focus on the current mathematics reform movement to reshape
the mathematics curriculum, and they reflect the roles of technology
and mathematics in today's society.
