Important Facts
      Hours open: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.

Cost of admission: Free, but there is a donation box.

Handicap access: Yes, dirt trails are level, spacious and well maintained, though not paved. May be a problem if wet, because they will become muddy.

Water:
Advisable to take bottled water or jug.

Equipment needed at site: (to bring from school and/or from science center)
pH paper or pH pen; soil & water testing kits; cloud chart.

What you should know before you go:
How to read min/max thermometer; cloud identification; pH testing, hydology and soil testing.

Pitfalls:
Must call Center the day before visit to reset the min/max thermometer. Not conveniently located near fast food restaurants. Student must bring lunches. There is a picnic area at the Science Center.

Safety precautions:
No safety hazards. Common sense behavior should be adequate when working at the pond.
